Quote of the day - James

"The pen is mightier than the sword, only if the pens really huge and the sword's really small"

Reasoning may help you make rational decisions, but mankind was made irrational to begin with

Loneliness (Chang Hao)

A thousand roads I may walk
A thousand souls I may find
Yet which will walk with me
Who among them shares my thoughts
Who will catch me as i fall into emptiness
which will i leap with into the unknown?

So yeah this is a poem about loneliness i wrote on a fine sunny afternoon. Loneliness is such a scary emotion, it seems to be the only one you face by yourself. How does one survive without a true soul mate to share your innermost thoughts with?

Technology is so wonderful! ( Chang Hao )

You know i was just looking through my handphone the other day and i found out a few suprises about it i never knew it had heh heh. Like the incredibly useful english-chinese dictionary that saved my life in chinese compo today. And the camera, 4x optic zoom!! Plus the Gee! Internet Service. (GEE! i never knew i could surf the web with my phone!)

Anyway the point i'm trying to make here is that technology is so advanced nowadays. 3G phones with msn, computers that can watch Tv, Tvs that can watch computers! Now cameras are no longer cameras, watches are no longer watches by thier own.

I wonder what will happen in the much later future...Chang hao won't be Chang Hao and James won't be James anymore. Then we can buy memory sticks and implant into our own bodies and download all the software we need. Play DotA in classroom or watch movie in the inside of your head.

Quote of the day - James

Today's quote is

"Give a man a bowl of shark's fin and you feed him for a day; teach a man how to catch fish and you feed him to the sharks." -James

Sometimes its better to provide a person with the answers you know rather than to teach the person methods on how to find it.

My 1st post (Chang Hao)

Hihi welcome to the wonderful world of Thots We Think co-blogged by me and my friend James. In this blog we do all the thinking that no one ever really ponders about. Like "does a falling tree in the forest make a sound when there is no one to hear it" or "Is truth beauty and beauty truth?" .

Today is my 1st post made by chang hao as you might already have guessed from the title. So...what does one write for the 1st post? This blog was never really supposed to be about our own lives so i can't really start by saying my life sucks, although james seem to have already broken the rule already judging from the soccer post. Maybe its philosopical to him or something. Divine intervention or whatever you choose to call it.

Anyway on to the main topic which is very important which is my 1st post. A blog is supposedly a online diary but a diary is supposed to hold your private thoughts. But when you blog you let others read your thoughts which is contradictory and oxymoronic yes?

"Every drop in the ocean makes up the sea... Every bit counts"

Mother Theresa

I just couldn't agree more... watching the way those damned Italians( I don't like them) scored their utmost important goal.. withn the final minutes of the game. That moment however was destroyed just because a SMALL DAMN MOSQUITO BIT ME... just at the point where the goal was scored... damn that mosquito. I may have slapped and killed it 5 times, but it has achieved its goal of depriving me of that long anticipated excitement of that soccer match. I fucking hate mosquitos.. hopefully this game will be BETTER, even if its JUST A BIT. Ill make sure no more fucked up mosquitos get in my way( bought insecticide). DIE mosquitos.

Today's quote

"The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference.
The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference.
The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference.
And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference."

Elie Wiesel

Indifference, it is a double edged sword. Although it helps one in understanding the world just a bit more, too much of it could ruin a person's life. So the key is never to be indifferent, yet remain non chalent about certain issues.
